- THE CHINESE ZODIAC: A SHALLOW SISTER'S DATING WORKSHOP - MINIMISING DAMAGE

A SHALLOW SISTER’S DATING WORKSHOP: MINIMIZING DAMAGE – THE CHINESE ZODIAC

We need all the tools at our disposal that we can find, and therefore we should use them.

He’s attractive.  You think you might like to go two rounds with this guy.  He appears interested in you.  Get the following from him ASAP:

The year of his birth.
The date of his birth.
The month of his birth.
The time of his birth.
The place of his birth.

You will put that to good use as well under part II of Minimizing Damage.

A quick guide on Chinese Astrology if you know nothing.  There are 12 animals representing each year that begins sometime in January or February depending on the moon.  Hence someone born in February in the same year as someone born in June may not be the same animal.  So check.

And just to complicate matters Chinese New Year and the start of the Horoscope year may differ.  So check dates not against the celebrations, but against the transition date i.e. this year Chinese New Year was celebrated on the 10th of February but the Snake snuck in on February the 4th.

The first animal of the year of your birth is whom you present to the world.  This is who you are.

Now find the animal in relation to the Month.  This is known as the hidden you.  It is parts of and the one you are striving to become. This is not easy to find online so I’m including it here for you:
January –         Ox
February –       Tiger
March -            Rabbit
April -              Dragon
May -               Snake
June -               Horse
July -                Goat
August –          Monkey
September –     Rooster
October -          Dog
November –      Pig
December -       Rat

The 3rd Animal is dependent upon the time of birth. It does not matter where you were born, as it is dependent upon the position of the sun at the time of birth.  But, do compensate for daylight saving.  This animal is the secret you.  The one that is supposed to be who you really are.

23:00 – 00:59: Rat
01:00 – 02:59: Ox
03:00 – 04:59: Tiger
05:00 – 06:59: Rabbit
07:00 – 08:59: Dragon
09:00 – 10:59: Snake
11:00 – 12:59: Horse
13:00 – 14:59: Goat
15:00 – 16:59: Monkey
17:00 – 18:59: Rooster
19:00 – 20:59: Dog
           21:00 – 22:59: Pig

Now just to complicate matters these 12 main animals of your year birth are divided again into another five.  Every 12 years one comes up, as belonging to an element or/and colour.  Fire (red), Wood (green), Metal (white), Water (black) and Earth (brown).  Therefore your birth animal only comes up once every 60 years.

This year is the year of the Snake.  In my opinion it is the year of the Trouser Snake! (Another element not yet thought of but encountered many, many times).

The more you know about yourself and the man you are going to go on the second date with, the more you can see if you are soul mates and have a chance of reaching your 7th anniversary without the soles of your feet needing to be scratched.

So, if you are looking for someone dependable and hardworking pick an Ox.
Someone with passion – The Tiger and/or Dragon.
But remember what lurks beneath the first animal may contradict.
Beware the rat (loyal) may have Tiger in him (promiscuous), but he will have passion.

As a point of interest the Fire Dragon (last seen in 1976) scared so many that mass abortions took place in China so as to avoid a child born in that year.  Why?  Apparently fire dragons are quick tempered and rumour has it serial killers favour that sign!  Like I said – check your date’s date.
